Rockwell at Trafalgar St James is a destination of style and escapism in the heart of the West End. It transports guests from the mayhem of central London into a jungle-like sanctuary of the surreal, complete with flora, botanical cocktails and a menu influenced by global travel.
The bar is headed by Francesco Pittala, whose approach to mixology combines exotic imports and traditional English spirits to produce a list of perfectly crafted cocktails. The expert team produce all their own syrups, infusions and cordials in house. Rockwell is the only bar in London to source its botanicals from a sustainable underground farm, which grows its produce 33 meters below the streets of Clapham. The bar offers three non-alcoholic cocktails and three low ABV.
The all-day dining menu draws on global spices and ingredients, to create a mouth-watering selection of dishes and small plates that are perfect for lunch, pre-theatre or to accompany late night imbibing.
The design of Rockwell blurs the lines of the real and the imagined to create a sensory dream-like world. Exotic murals, capturing the strange and unfamiliar, combine with verdant ferns, large Longfolia Cabana trees and sumptuously upholstered banquettes to create an immersive décor unlike anything else in London.
