Most people get confused when they hear the name Kansas Smittys. “It must be in the States since it says Kansas, right? Is it a jazz venue in Broadway Market or an award-winning seven-piece? Is it that pub, Off Broadway, upstairs?” Well, the answers lie in many bits and pieces of all of these questions.
Smitty’s came to life almost four years ago through the creative and strategic minds of two music lovers, Giacomo Smith and Jack Abraham. After many residencies at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, an upcoming American tour and a twice-sold-out at London’s iconic Ronnie Scott’s, Kansas Smittys and its House Band have become an essential part of Broadway Market and its surroundings. With its cozy atmosphere and warmth of their bar staff, customers slowly become part of closely-knit family.
